If your child is at least 13 years old, or will turn 13 within the next few weeks, now may be a great time for them to become licensed as a NEW GRASSROOTS SOCCER REFEREE.

PYSL and NCFC, along with Norcal Premier Soccer, are hosting an on-line course for new officials.

Being a soccer official is a great way to learn and respect the game and further develop one’s sense of responsibility and time management. PYSL and NCFC offer a free mentoring program designed to help all the Referees develop their skills, knowledge and self-confidence. Both Clubs offer one of the highest pay scales in the area. This is a great job for any enterprising teenager who wants to earn very good income, loves the sport and wants to be involved further. Parents and any adult, friend, relative or acquaintance are NEEDED as well!

Interested new officials must complete the coursework, and then attend an in-person field training session, currently scheduled for August 21, at the Petaluma City Sports Complex, Field #2, from 4 to 7 PM. The whole course is easy to complete. Everyone who finishes it will be instantaneously  licensed and able to start officiating games immediately. Use the following link to register:

https://learning.ussoccer.com/referee/courses/available/6/details/4680

Space is limited to 30 students, so please register early!

Please contact me if you have any questions and/or after you and/or your child have completed the course and been granted their new USSF Referee badge. At that point, I will provide you with complete instructions to register in the pool of PYSL and NCFC Referees.
